Once again we will hold the Team Challenge in 2018!!

This year’s Run With Rotary features a Team Incentive Program for preregistered RWR participants.

2018 Team Incentive Program Rules

All Teams are welcome – the more the merrier. As in previous years, all teams will be considered for certain awards, including Fastest Team (in the 5K Run), “Best Dressed,” “Cougar Award,” “Most Spirited” and “Community Service” team. This year we are also adding a new award for the “Most Courageous.”

Teams of at least 25 pre-registered members qualify to have a table in the sponsor tent to promote their groups and activities.

A $500 prize will go to the team with the highest number (minimum 25) of online preregistered members. The team with the second highest number of members will receive $350.00 and the third highest $150.00.

But new to 2017 is a kicker . . . the team with the most online preregistered members as of 12:01am on April 1, 2017 will receive an extra $250.  So register early!

The teams that wins these prizes (a.k.a. the “winning teams”) must direct the prizes to a not-for-profit charity of their choice. Thus, if a winning team represents a not-for-profit/charitable entity – for example, Mary Jacobs Library, Fire Company 1 or 2, Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, an area church or synagogue, the MHS Marching Band or any other school clubs – that team could keep the prize itself. If the winning team represents a company or other for-profit entity, it may designate the money for a charity of its choice.

All team members must specify their team when they pre-register. The team name needs to be clear and every team member must use the same team name.

Teams may consist of runners, ramblers or a combination of both. Only the five fastest team members timed/scored and be eligible for medals.

Team registrants do not need to actually participate in the event; teams may include friends, other family members, etc. as long as they pre-register under their proper team name. Therefore, teams trying to raise funds for their particular cause may wish to solicit registrants for their team from friends, relatives, etc.

Every pre-registered member of every team will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag while supplies last. T-shirts and goodie bags are only available on the day of the event at the event.

No team registrations will be accepted on the day of the event. (Individuals who are not running or rambling with a team may, of course, register on the day of the race.)
