Proceeds to purchase a mobile soup kitchen / disaster unit for S.H.I.P. and to support their outreach services

Feeding those in need in Central Jersey and beyond

  • The Mobile Soup Kitchen - Disaster Unit vehicle is part of S.H.I.P.’s ongoing effort to reduce hunger and homelessness. Their existing truck is now nearly 20 years old and in need of replacement.
  • The S.H.I.P. truck, based in Somerset, NJ, serves meals Mon-Fri throughout the region and travels to disaster sites such as NYC during 9/11 and the Jersey Shore in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
  • S.H.I.P. serves those in need, including those who are hungry or suffer from substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, mental health issues, or isolation. S.H.I.P. provides food, advocacy, emergency interim housing, interim counseling, and support services, to enhance their clients chances of regaining their self-sufficiency.

6 tickets for $100 • 30 tickets for $500

Drawing Prizes:

The first three tickets drawn will receive a percentage of half the money raised from ticket sales:

First: 35% • Second: 10% • Third: 5%

The remaining 50% of funds raised will go directly to purchasing and support of the mobile soup kitchen for S.H.I.P.
